Question: Laxatives

Are there any plants to use as a laxative or for stomach acid? If yes, how are they used?

Answer: Laxatives

Dear Clarisse,
the plants most commonly used as laxatives are linen, of which seeds are used, and senna; these two plants come into many ready-to-use laxatives, which you find in all the herbalists; on the other hand, against acidity in the stomach, algae, marshmallow and yarrow extracts are used.
Of all these plants, decoctions are generally used, or oily extracts (in particular flax seeds).
Your herbalist will advise you, because it is always a good idea to evaluate the best way to take a medicinal herb on a case-by-case basis.
