Tomato "Strawberry tree" belongs to the mid-early types of tomatoes, the time of full ripening is 110-115 days. It is intended mainly for growing in greenhouse conditions. A nice feature of this tomato variety is its resistance to diseases and pests.
This type of tomato has a very high yield when compared with other tomatoes. This vigorous plant forms about 5-6 clusters of 6-8 fruits each. With proper care and suitable conditions, from one square. meter can be harvested up to 12 kilograms of delicious fruits.
Among the main advantages of this hybrid are:
- resistance to verticillium wilt and tobacco mosaic virus;
- resistance to changes in weather conditions;
- increased productivity;
- long fruiting period.
No significant shortcomings have been identified to date... The only drawback can be considered a mandatory garter and a little capriciousness regarding climatic conditions, the plant is poorly suited for an arid climate.
You can compare the yield of the variety with others in the table:

Since it was bred in Siberia, it is perfect for growing in regions with unstable weather, as it tolerates seasonal cold snaps very well. Suitable for growing in Western and Eastern Siberia, the Far East, the Urals and central Russia. But for cultivation in the southern regions, it can also show good results.
The peculiarities of these tomatoes are that it is able to grow on infertile soils, and tolerates cold well. If you pick slightly unripe fruits, they ripen remarkably and tolerate storage and transportation. The plant needs regular abundant watering and loosening of the soil.
Diseases and pests
Of the diseases to which this variety is susceptible, it is perhaps worth highlighting brown spot. This is the most common disease that affects tomatoes in greenhouses.
To prevent this disease, it is necessary to observe the light regime and the humidity regime, since high humidity contributes to the appearance of this disease. To combat it, they use the Barrier and the Barrier, from folk remedies they use a garlic solution.
The “strawberry tree” can most often be invaded by spider mites and greenhouse whiteflies. When a plant infects a whitefly, they are sprayed with the preparation "Confidor", at the rate of 1 ml per 10 liters of water, solution consumption per 100 sq.m. Spider mites are removed with the help of a soap solution, which is used to wipe the leaves and affected areas of the plant.
As a result, I would like to say that this hybrid, although quite young, has already managed to show itself from the good side. Good luck to everyone in growing this new kind of tomato.
