Tomato Tsarskiy Podarok is a mid-season high-yielding variety. Determinate bush, about 1 m high, moderately branched, with medium formation of green mass. In the open field, the plant turns out to be more compact. The leaves are dark green, large, simple. Fruits ripen in clusters of 3-5 pieces.

Fruits are large, weighing up to 250 g, even and elegant... Individual tomatoes reach a weight of 500 g. The shape is round-barrel-shaped, with pronounced ribbing. The color of ripe fruits is bright, red with a pearly tint.

The skin is matte, thin, well protecting the tomatoes from cracking. The pulp is juicy, sugary at the break, moderately dense, with few seeds. The taste is very pleasant, intensely sweet, without the slightest signs of acid.

Tomato variety Tsarskiy Podarok was bred by Russian breeders. Zoned for different areas, it is recommended to grow in open beds or under a film. The yield is high, from 1 sq. m of plantings, you can collect up to 10 kg of selected fruits... Tomatoes are well stored, transportation is possible.

Growing features

Tomatoes of the Tsarskiy Podarok variety are best grown in seedlings. Before sowing, the seeds are treated with a growth stimulator, disinfection in a solution of potassium permanganate is possible, followed by washing with clean water and drying.

The soil is made up of a mixture of garden soil with humus or peat... Seeds are sown to a depth of 1.5-2 cm, sprayed with water and covered with foil. The containers are kept warm until emergence.

Young shoots are exposed to bright light, watered with warm water. After the appearance of the first pair of true leaves, the seedlings are dived, then fed with liquid nitrogen-based fertilizer. A week before planting in the ground, young plants are hardened, daily taken out into fresh air.

The transfer begins in the second half of May or early June. The soil is fertilized with humus and thoroughly loosened... Superphosphate or potash fertilizers are laid out on the holes. Plants are planted at a distance of 60-70 cm.
