  • cold resistance;
  • undemanding care;
  • resistance to major diseases of nightshade.

There are practically no disadvantages of the variety.

Growing features

Seeds are sown for seedlings closer to mid-April. For the successful cultivation of "Betta" tomato, the soil must be light and nutritious, from a mixture of turf soil with peat or humus. For greater nutritional value, a small portion of wood ash is added to the substrate. Read about what types of soil for tomatoes exist, how to make your own soil mixture and what kind of soil to choose for greenhouse tomatoes.

The seeds are treated with a growth stimulant, and then sown with a depth of 2 cm. The plantings are abundantly sprayed with warm water from a spray bottle and covered with a film for early germination.

Watering the Betta tomato should be moderate, waiting for the soil to dry slightly. These plants do not like stagnation of moisture. After the appearance of the first pair of true leaves, the seedlings are dived into separate pots and fed with full complex fertilizer. For the successful development of seedlings, they provide good lighting; in cloudy weather, they are supplemented with fluorescent lamps.

Transplanting into a soil or greenhouse begins when the soil is completely warmed up. Before planting, the soil is thoroughly loosened, complex mineral fertilizers are laid out in the holes (no more than 1 tablespoon per plant).

  • Organic, phosphoric, complex, ready-made, TOP of the best.
  • For seedlings, foliar.
  • Yeast, ash, iodine, hydrogen peroxide, ammonia, boric acid.

Compact bushes will not take up much space in the greenhouse, per 1 sq. m can accommodate 4-5 plants. It is not necessary to form them, but for better insolation it is recommended to cut off the lower leaves.

Water the tomatoes with warm water as the topsoil dries up. Every 2 weeks, mineral fertilizing is applied, if desired, it can be alternated with organic matter: diluted mullein or bird droppings. Mulching can help control weeds.

Diseases and pests

The variety is resistant to the main diseases of the nightshade. However, preventive measures will not hurt. Timely weeding and regular airing will save you from top and root rot. Spraying plantings with a pale pink solution of potassium permanganate works well. Ultra-ripe tomatoes ripen in early summer, before the onset of mass late blight. If you find dark spots on the fruit, you can feed the plants with potash-based fertilizers.

Tomatoes can be damaged by insect pests that feed on juicy greens. During flowering, plants are threatened by aphids, thrips, spider mites. Later plantings can be affected by naked slugs and Colorado potato beetle. Large larvae are collected by hand and then destroyed.

It is easy to get rid of volatile pests with the help of insecticides; they are abundantly sprayed on the affected plants 2-3 times with an interval of 3 days. But you can use other methods: read about methods of dealing with Colorado beetles, how to get rid of aphids and thrips, the best ways to get rid of slugs.

After the onset of flowering, toxic substances cannot be used; they are replaced with a decoction of celandine or onion husks.

Betta tomatoes are perfect for connoisseurs of early ripening tomatoes. They are good for health and have a delicate delicacy. Plants are easy to care for, and the yield remains consistently high.
